Hi everyone! Well with only a few sleeps to go until Halloween a bunch of us bloggers have teamed up to bring you some awesome ideas. I decided for Halloween I would make some fun kids snacks, Oreo Spiders and Mummy Juice boxes!
To make the Oreo Spiders you will need:
- Oreo’s biscuits
- Smarties
- Licorice strips
- Icing
First pull the licorice strips in half, cut to length and then stick into the center of the Oreo for your spiders legs. For attaching the eyes add a blob of icing and pop the Smarties on top!
For the Mummy Juice Boxes you will need:
- Juice boxes with straws
- White masking tape
- Googly eyes
- Hot glue gun
Wrap the juice boxes in the masking tape all over leaving a crease in the tape for the eyebrows. Using a hot glue gun attach the googly eyes below the eyebrow crease and then stick the straws in the top. All done!
For some other creative Halloween ideas be sure to check out all the other blogs involved in this months Collectively Creative! Thanks so much to Kelly from Cobwebs, Cupcakes And Crayons for organising the blog event
Hope you all have a fantastic Halloween this year!

Those are too cute! I love the mummy juice boxes. I think Annabelle would get a kick out of them. Thanks so much for being part of the first Collectively Creative!
Thanks Kelly! Have just woken up here on our side of the world, heading over to check out everyone’s Collectively Creative posts now
Those are the cutest treats EVER . . . thank you so much for the treat ideas!!!
Thank you! I love the cushions you made for Collectively Creative they look amazing! Love your work
LOVE the Oreo spiders! Adorable! Also, I love that you used Smarties for the eyes — keeps it peanut-free (which is an issue for us) and they come in such fun colors! The mummy juice boxes are too cute for words — where did you find the white masking tape? Gonna need to make these….
Thank you! The white masking tape I found at a hardware store it is the same tape that plumbers and electricians use
Very clever! And my daughter saw the Oreo spiders and now keeps hinting to make them. I see spiders in my future!
Oh did she thats cute! If you do make them be sure to get a extra pack of Oreo’s I did find when I made them some of the Oreo’s are a bit fragile and break when you stick the legs in so extra ones are advised
Have a Happy Halloween!
Good advice, although I thought you were going to say to get an extra pack because one tends to… um, partake of the Oreos as one is making crafts with them! LOL!
Hahahaha! That too! We were feeling a bit sick after the whole thing was over.. 2 packs of Oreo’s and a bag of smarties later LOL!
Too funny!
Thanks Sean
Love these! Thanks for the tips!

Thanks Alex
SO cute! Especially the oreo spiders!
I’m having a major halloween blog fest as well!
Thanks Auntie K! I saw the Halloween Marshmallow Popcorn Cake on your blog it looks awesome!
It was so good but a tad bit sweet. Unlike me, I can’t control how much I eat so it got way too sweet! If you decide to make it, go with more pretzels and less m&ms, unless you have a major sweet tooth. =)
